A stealth‑action game, enhancing the original 2012 title with improved visuals and includes all downloadable content, offering the definitive way to experience Corvo Attano’s revenge tale in the plague‑stricken city of Dunwall.
Description
Dishonored: Definitive Edition is a next‑generation re‑release of the acclaimed 2012 stealth‑action game. Set in the industrial, plague‑ravaged city of Dunwall, the story follows Corvo Attano, bodyguard to the Empress, who is framed for her murder and imprisoned. Escaping with the aid of loyalists and a mysterious figure known as the Outsider, Corvo gains supernatural powers and embarks on a quest for vengeance and justice.
Gameplay blends stealth, combat, and supernatural abilities. Players can teleport short distances with “Blink,” summon swarms of rats, possess animals or humans, and manipulate time. Missions are designed with multiple pathways and solutions, allowing players to choose between lethal and non‑lethal approaches. Choices affect the game’s “Chaos” system, altering the world’s state and leading to different endings.
The Definitive Edition upgrades the original with enhanced textures, lighting, and models for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while retaining the atmospheric art style. It also bundles all downloadable content: The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches (which expand the story through the assassin Daud), and Dunwall City Trials (a set of challenge maps). While the visual improvements are modest retains its immersive world, flexible gameplay, and distinctive blend of stealth and supernatural powers, laying the foundation for its sequel, Dishonored 2.
