A card-battle game from the early Yu-Gi-Oh! boom with a split-version deck system that gives each release a different practical strength. This Kaiba version features better access to removal and power cards but still clear limits from the game’s divided card pool.
Description
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Saikyō Kettōsha Senki: Kaiba Deck is the Kaiba-themed release of the three-version Duel Monsters 4 set. Like the Yūgi and Jōnouchi versions, it follows the Battle City-era cast and has the player duel opponents repeatedly to gain cards, increase deck capacity, and open later opponents, but the available card pool changes heavily by version.
The rules are still part of the early Game Boy Yu-Gi-Oh! lineage rather than a faithful recreation of later official card-game play. Monsters are governed by altered tribute thresholds, deck construction is limited through card cost and duelist level, and fusion is still simplified into direct card combinations rather than the later standard fusion procedure. The Kaiba Deck has stronger magic and removal access than the Yūgi version, including cards such as Thunder Bolt and Black Hole in version-specific discussion, but it does not reach the overall advantage of the Jōnouchi Deck.
The Kaiba Deck version is closely linked to its included physical cards. Its associated pack-in pool includes Aqua Chorus, Force, Seal of the Ancients, Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, and Vorse Raider, with Obelisk the Tormentor attached as the early-copy God Card bonus, a collector card rather than a usable official card-game card.
