Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Saikyō Kettōsha Senki: Jōnouchi Deck is the Jōnouchi-themed version of Duel Monsters 4, released alongside the Yūgi Deck and Kaiba Deck versions. The basic loop remains the same across all three: duel characters from the series, earn cards, improve deck capacity and duelist level, and keep refining the deck within the version’s restrictions.

The underlying rules are simplified and idiosyncratic compared with later Yu-Gi-Oh! games. Deck capacity, card levels, altered sacrifice requirements, summon-type matchups, and simplified fusion all shape play, while the 900-card list is reduced in practice by version restrictions and CPU-only cards. The Jōnouchi Deck stands out because it has access to many of the most useful magic and trap options, with Japanese retrospective sources specifically noting its strong advantage over the Yūgi and Kaiba versions.

Its physical-card appeal is also distinct from the other releases. The Jōnouchi Deck’s associated pack-in cards include Sebek’s Blessing, Sword of Dragon’s Soul, Negate Attack, Magic Arm Shield, and Dragoness the Wicked Knight, while early copies included The Winged Dragon of Ra as the God Card bonus, again as a non-official-play collector card.
