Description

Moon Gate is an audio CD that includes the song Starry Heavens, which served as the opening theme for the GameCube RPG Tales of Symphonia. The disc runs for about 14 minutes and includes three tracks:

  1. Starry Heavens
    Lyrics by misono, composed by Daisuke Suzuki, arranged by Mitsuru Igarashi and day after tomorrow. This track is best known as the Tales of Symphonia opening theme.
  2. ネバーランド (Neverland) – 4:45
    Lyrics by misono, composed by Masato Kitano, arranged by Mitsuru Igarashi and day after tomorrow.
  3. These Days
    Lyrics by misono, composed by Daisuke Suzuki, arranged by Mitsuru Igarashi and day after tomorrow.

The disc is credited to day after tomorrow, with misono on vocals, Daisuke Suzuki on keyboards, Masato Kitano on guitar, and Kaoru Kato contributing additional guitar. Mitsuru Igarashi, formerly of Every Little Thing, produced and programmed the release.

The CD was marketed both as a standalone maxi‑single and as part of promotional tie‑ins with Tales of Symphonia. The lead track Starry Heavens became one of the group’s most recognisable songs, remembered for its emotional tone and strong association with the game.
