Description
Released in Japan and in select European countries as Dragon Ball Z 3: Ultime Menace, Super Butōden 3 is the third and final entry in the Super Butōden series. It retains the core mechanics of its predecessors: a six‑button control scheme, special move inputs, and the signature split‑screen system that keeps both fighters visible when far apart, aided by a radar display. Players can dash with the shoulder buttons, charge their Ki gauge quickly, unleash Ki blasts, and perform Meteor Combos.
The roster includes Goku, Goten, Trunks (child and future forms), Majin Vegeta, Gohan, Supreme Kai, Majin Buu, Dabura, and Android 18, with Future Trunks unlockable via code. Modes are limited to Versus and Tournament; unlike Super Butōden 2, there is no story mode, making the game more of a pure competitive fighter. Tournament Mode effectively serves as a stand‑in for single‑player progression, ending with credits when a champion is crowned.
