A volleyball game based on the Kunio-kun (River City) series.
Description
Kunio-kun no Dojjibōru da yo Zen’in Shūgō! builds on Technōs Japan’s signature formula by merging the irreverent brawl-driven energy of the Kunio-kun franchise with team-based dodgeball mechanics. It emphasises chaotic multiplayer gameplay for up to four players via multitap support. Exaggerated character moves, collision-based physics, and rapid match flow take precedence over realism or sporting convention.
Unlike its predecessor Super Dodge Ball, which leaned more toward structured, cross-country match-ups, this entry doubles down on the Kunio series’ comedic tone and sprite-driven impact. Matches are more theatrical than tactical, designed around visual charm, player disruption, and cartoon physics. Retrospectively, it’s seen as a continuation of Technōs’ playful genre blending—serving as both a companion piece to its beat-’em-up lineage and a fan-focused variation within the Kunio-kun ecosystem.
