VGA Cable
Generic VGA cable, provides VGA output only from the Dreamcast. So you may need to change cables to operate software that does not support VGA mode.
Description
This VGA Cable is one of many unofficial equivalents to Sega’s VGA Box. Despite the majority of Dreamcast software supporting 480p VGA output, the feature was little used. Outside Japan l, Sega did not sell the VGA and its expense made it quite uncommon. Consequently a market popped up for VGA output cables.
This cable is entirely functional albeit inferior in build quality. Unlike the VGA Box, it lacks traditional outputs or a switch. As a result you would need to entirely unplug it and use a different cable if wanting to use software or a display that did not support the VGA alternate display mode. Similar to the original product, it does contain a headphone jack for audio output.
Despite the drawbacks, relatively cheap and accessible alternatives to the official accessory were highly welcome at the time.
