A expansion cartridge that boots off the Saturn cartridge slot and provides various features.
Description
This is one of many Saturn cartridges on the market that allowed various features. This one does nearly everything in one great device:
- Backup memory storage
- 4MB expansion RAM
- Memory editing/cheating
- Region free booting
- Communication port for PC communication card
While the British Datel created the original Action Replay for the Sega Saturn, HK EMS produced a third-party version – the Action Replay 4M Plus. EMS’s version was not licensed by Datel and was marketed independently as a compatible alternative. This model was re-launched with the same SKU (or new stock was produced) around 2010-11 that no longer features the communication port. Consequently, these are advertised as 3-in-1.
