Beam Software (Melbourne House)

Beam Software (Melbourne House)

Description

A landmark Australian studio that rose to international prominence during the home-computer boom, spanning text adventures, early genre-defining action design, and later console development. It was known by variations of both Beam Software and, after 1997, Melbourne House. After a long period of platform-spanning production, the business was acquired and rebranded within larger publishing groups, with the original studio identity eventually discontinued.
