Empire Earth II [Disc 1 Orphan]
A RTS game where you play through multiple ages. Orphaned disc 1 of 2, no packaging or documentation.
Description
Empire Earth II builds upon on the original, providing 14 civilisations to play through 15 historical epochs, from the Stone Age to the far‑future Synthetic Age. Core gameplay revolves around gathering resources, constructing cities, researching technologies, and commanding armies across large maps, with each epoch unlocking new units and buildings. The sequel introduced several notable systems, including a Picture‑in‑Picture window for monitoring multiple fronts, a Citizen Manager to automate idle workers, a more involved diplomacy model, and the War Planner, a strategic map for coordinating attacks with allies. The Crown System rewards the first player to achieve dominance in military, economic, or imperial development within an epoch, while dynamic weather affects visibility, movement, and combat effectiveness.
Single‑player content includes three main campaigns: Korean, German, and American, alongside “Turning Point” scenarios such as the Normandy landings and China’s Three Kingdoms period. Skirmish mode offers varied game types against AI or up to ten human players via LAN or online play. Compared to its predecessor, Empire Earth II had expanded micromanagement tools, deeper diplomacy, and cooperative planning features, though its complexity and steep learning curve meant it appealed mostly to experienced RTS players.
