Xbox 360 Slim Composite AV Cable
A black AV cable to match the Xbox 360 S console. The same cable was provided with most Xbox 360 systems from launch in the ‘Core’ configurations.
Bundled in Set
Description
The Xbox 360 Slim Composite AV Cable was included with most Xbox 360 S consoles except for ‘Pro’ and ‘Elite’ Kits. It provides a composite stereo AV connector for purchasers using an old display that lacks a HDMI input.
The original Xbox 360 did not initially include a HDMI output. The multi AV output supported this cable and HD analogue output by component/D-terminal and VGA. HDMI was added in early revisions of the Xbox 360, approximately a year after the launch. However, these composite video cables remained standard throughout the Xbox 360 life. Only the very late Xbox 360 E model dropped the multi AV output in lieu of a camcorder style phone jack to stereo AV cable, which continued to act as a fallback for the then ubiquitous HDMI, dropping support for other analogue HD outputs the multi AV port supported (component and VGA).
