Burnout Paradise Remastered
An open‑world racing game set in Paradise City, where players can freely explore, race, and cause spectacular crashes. Includes the “Big Surf Island” expansion, and all vehicle packs, with upgraded graphics and online support.
Description
Burnout Paradise Remastered preserves the original’s open‑world design, where players can drive anywhere in Paradise City, choosing races, challenges, and stunts at their own pace. The remaster features upgraded textures, lighting, and effects, running up to 4K at 60fps on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC. It includes all eight DLC packs from the “Year of Paradise,” most notably Big Surf Island, which adds a new area with unique challenges, and the Cops and Robbers mode. Vehicle packs such as the Legendary Cars (parodies of the Back to the Future DeLorean and Ghostbusters Ecto‑1) are also included.
Gameplay remains focused on high‑speed racing and spectacular crashes. Players can trigger “Road Rules” challenges on every street, compete in online multiplayer events, or simply explore the city performing stunts. The game’s crash mechanics, known as “Burnouts” and “Takedowns,” remain central, rewarding aggressive driving and destruction. The soundtrack reprises the eclectic mix of rock, pop, and electronic tracks from the original, including the iconic “Paradise City” by Guns N’ Roses. Online play is supported through EA servers, with seamless drop‑in multiplayer.
Although the remaster did little to modernise the game beyond visuals, this preservation of the original’s chaotic fun and the inclusion of all DLC, was all that was needed. Still a fun title today and the definitive way to play the game.
