Frostbite
Frostbite is Electronic Arts’ proprietary game engine, originally developed by DICE and first introduced with Battlefield: Bad Company in 2008. Built around large-scale multiplayer play, destructible environments, and shared internal tooling, it evolved from a Battlefield-focused technology into one of EA’s core cross-studio platforms, supporting the company’s major shooters, sports titles, and other large-scale productions.
