Description

Hamster Paradise 3, also styled Hamster Paradise 3 Churī, is the third main entry in Atlus’s Hamster Paradise line. It continues the series’ focus on raising hamsters, but it gives the player a wider map and more activities. The basic care is familiar virtual-pet material: the player feeds the hamster, gives it water, pets it, brushes it, cleans its living space, and keeps its condition stable.

The main hook is that the hamster can be taken to many locations, including school, parks, an amusement area, forest, and shrine-like spaces, where events can raise or alter stats such as stamina, intelligence, and bravery. Choices during these outings affect growth, so the game has a light training structure. Growth and variety are central to the game. Young hamsters grow into adults after several in-game days, and their final type depends on personality and ability development.

The game includes multiple hamster varieties, although less then previously. Adult hamsters can change type with their abilities, providing a reason to keep raising and adjusting them after they mature. There is a large set of minigames, such as whack-a-mole-style play, air hockey, racing, action challenges, rhythm-like games, swimming, and beach-style games. These are not just side distractions; they provide money or useful items, letting the player buy food, toys, and other care goods for the hamster.

Compared with Hamster Paradise 2, this entry feels broader and more activity-heavy. It keeps the cute pet-raising appeal, but adds more content and a sticker-collection element, making it closer to a small child-friendly life simulation than a simple virtual pet. It was followed by Hamster Paradise 4 before later entries moved to the Game Boy Advance.
