A HD remaster of the 2004 PS2 cult‑classic Katamari Damacy, first released in for Nintendo Switch.
Description
Katamari Damacy REROLL preserves the quirky, off‑beat charm of the original while updating it for modern hardware with full HD visuals, widescreen support, and completely recreated cutscenes. The story is as delightfully absurd as ever: after the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroys all the stars in the sky, he orders his tiny son, the Prince, to roll up objects on Earth into giant sticky balls called katamaris to rebuild the heavens. Gameplay is simple yet hypnotic: using both analog sticks, you roll your katamari around, picking up anything smaller than it, from thumbtacks and fruit to buildings and mountains, growing larger as you go.
The Nintendo Switch version adds optional gyro controls with the Joy‑Cons, a “Prince Dash” shake move in tabletop mode, and local multiplayer using two Joy‑Cons. The remaster keeps the original’s infectious J‑pop‑infused soundtrack, surreal humor, and whimsical art style, making it both a nostalgia trip for longtime fans and equally accessible for newcomers.
