An official Wii U accessory consisting of two plastic supports designed to hold the console securely in a vertical position.
Description
The Wii U Console Vertical Stand, known internationally as just the Console Stand, was released as part of the Wii U hardware ecosystem. They came as a matching pair of stands that attaches to both ends of the console’s side, providing a stable vertical orientation. The stands contain no electronic components and their design leaves the cooling vents unobstructed. Installation requires no tools and the stands can be removed at any time without modifying the hardware.
These were mostly bundled with the Premium and Deluxe console bundles. In Western markets, this meant they were only available in black with the 32 GB WUP-101 console. Japan also received standalone retail availability including a white version, which was designed for owners of the white 8 GB WUP-001 model Basic bundle. Later, Japan also exclusively saw white 32 GB WUP-101 console models in special edition premium bundles, where the white stand was also included.
