Nexus Memory Card Link Cable –
Parallel port to custom connector to transfer Dreamcast save data with EMS Nexus memory cards.
Description
This cable connects compatible EMS manufactured ‘Nexus’ Dreamcast memory cards to a personal computer via an IBM-PC parallel (printer) DB-25 port. This would allow copying/transferring of save data in either direction. These were mostly sold loose and often accompanying a compatible memory card. Despite USB 1.0 being quite established at this point the use of a parallel port meant transfers were somewhat slow, albeit acceptable for the small file sizes.
