Ignite

Ignite is Electronic Arts’ proprietary sports game engine, announced in 2013 alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to power titles such as FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14, and EA Sports UFC. EA described it as a unified framework combining rendering, run-time physics, player intelligence, animation, locomotion, and online systems to create more lifelike sports simulations. It served as a key EA Sports technology stack before franchises began transitioning to Frostbite from 2016 onward.
