A third party memory card for the Dreamcast with the added benefit of double the standard storage. Like all third party options, it lacks a screen to perform the Visual Memory functions.
Description
The Nexus 2M Memory Card is a third party memory card for Dreamcast which provides additional storage and a PC link. The standard Dreamcast Visual Memory device contained 1 Mbit of save memory, where as this double that standard capacity. It most notable feature was a plug to use PC link cable (EMS 9914). This effectively provided an unlimited amount of storage if you were willing to transferring data to/from a computer.
This was the smallest Nexus branded memory card for Dreamcast. Other models were pushed to 4Mbit and 16Mbit capacities. However, given it had the ability to transfer save files to a computer, the further capacities were mostly a convenience. Due to the ear of the system, it did not use a USB controller for PC access. Rather special custom software was required to connect to the device over a parallel port connection.
