Description
The Joy‑Con Strap 2 is a small but important accessory for the Nintendo Switch 2, designed to attach securely onto either the left or right Joy‑Con 2 when they’re detached from the console. Its primary purpose is twofold: safety and comfort. The wrist strap prevents the controller from slipping or being thrown during motion‑control play, much like the Switch Joy-Con Straps and Wii Remote straps before it. The strap housing also makes the SL and SR shoulder buttons larger and easier to press, which is especially useful when a single Joy‑Con 2 is used horizontally as a standalone controller.
The straps stay firmly attached to the Joy‑Con 2 through the magnetic attachment, and the woven wrist cord is adjustable for a snug fit. They were initially made in pastel blue and red, reflecting the console’s ascent colours. This was a more subtle design to the original Switch.
