Snowdrop
Snowdrop is Ubisoft’s proprietary game engine, developed by Massive Entertainment and revealed in 2013 alongside Tom Clancy’s The Division, whose 2016 release marked the engine’s debut in a shipped game. Built around a flexible, creator-friendly architecture often described as node-based or building-block driven, it has been used for detailed, asset-rich worlds across multiple genres. Since The Division, Snowdrop has expanded to projects such as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Star Wars Outlaws.
