THQ
Description
A major American publisher and developer that grew from early licensed console software into one of the defining mid-tier game companies of its era. It was particularly associated with a broad mix of entertainment licences, internal studio expansion, and commercially ambitious genre publishing before financial collapse led to bankruptcy in 2012 and liquidation in 2013. Its brand was purchased by Nordic games resulting in THQ Nordic.
