Description

Halo 4 picks up four and a half years after Halo 3, with Master Chief and his AI companion Cortana stranded aboard the wreckage of the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn. This was the first Halo developed by 343 Industries and the first entry in the Reclaimer Saga.

The campaign blends large-scale sci-fi action with a more personal narrative, exploring Cortana’s struggle with rampancy and her deepening bond with Chief. Alongside the story, the game introduces new weapons, armour abilities, and enemies, as well as the cooperative Spartan Ops mode and refined multiplayer, expanding the Halo formula while delving deeper into its lore.

Despite the fresh start, for many this began the Xbox’s flagship franchise’s demise. The change in developer marked a steady decline in interest and increasingly critical reception to the series.
