Titanfall
A multiplayer-focused mecha FPS that introduced unique parkour gameplay mechanics including wall running and move chains.
Description
Titanfall is a multiplayer only title featuring six‑on‑six matches set in the distant Frontier, a contested region between the corporate Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the rebel Frontier Militia. Players control nimble Pilots capable of wall‑running, double‑jumping, and chaining parkour moves, as well as summoning massive, heavily armed Titans that fall from orbit mid‑match. The game blends infantry and mech combat with AI‑controlled grunts and spectres populating the battlefield, creating a sense of large‑scale warfare. While lacking a traditional single‑player campaign, Titanfall still tells has a narrative embodied in its multiplayer missions. That game was under-rated and retrospectively got a lot more attention. Its fluid gameplay loop presents a mix of vertical movement, tactical mech deployment, and cinematic set‑pieces that redefined expectations for competitive shooters of its era.
